Sending and Receiving Money from Uganda
On the Bitnob app, users in Uganda can now send and receive money from countries like Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, and every other country available with ease. Whether you're supporting family members, paying for goods and services, or managing business transactions from Uganda, you can now do all effortlessly using Bitnob.
How to Deposit UGX (Ugandan Shilling) to Your Bitnob Account
To deposit UGX into your Bitnob account, you need to first download Bitnob, create an account, get verified, and proceed to follow these simple steps:
- In the Quick Links section on Bitnob, tap the Deposit button.
- Choose “Fund with Local Currency” as your deposit option
- Tap the Change currency drop-down to choose Uganda (UGX)
- Enter the amount you want to fund your Bitnob account with and Tap Continue
- Tap “Authorize Payment Request”
- On the mobile phone that has your MoMo wallet number- MTN for example, you will receive a pop-up message to authorize your payments
- Once you authorize your payments, tap the “I Have Made Payment” button on the Bitnob app
- Congratulations! You have successfully funded your wallet
How to Send UGX [Ugandan Shilling] Using Bitnob
Once your account is funded, you may decide to start sending money immediately, below is a quick guide on how to send UGX using Butnob:
- Login to the Bitnob app
- Tap Transfer in the Quick Links section of the homepage
- Tap Transfer to bank or MoMo
- Tap the Change currency drop-down to choose Uganda (UGX)
- Enter the amount you want to send either in UGX or USD. However, the minimum you can transfer is $2
- Select the account or mobile money provider and fill out the details of the account you want to send money to. If this person would be someone you intend to send money often, then tap on “Save as beneficiary” to make the person a beneficiary.
