Adding and managing beneficiaries

Who is a beneficiary?

A beneficiary is a person or entity you intend to send money to. Adding beneficiaries allows you to save recipient details for faster and more accurate future transactions.

Why should I add a beneficiary?

Adding a beneficiary helps reduce errors when sending funds and makes repeat transactions quicker by allowing you to select saved recipients instead of entering details each time.

How to add a beneficiary

  1. From the navigation menu, go to Beneficiaries.
  2. Select Add beneficiary.
  3. Enter the beneficiary name.
  4. Select the recipient type:
    • BTC wallet
    • USDT wallet
    • USDC wallet
  5. Enter the required details:
    • Network
    • Wallet address
    • Note (optional)
  6. Click Add beneficiary to save the details.

How to edit a beneficiary's details

You can update an existing beneficiary's details at any time from your Bitnob Business dashboard.

  1. From the navigation menu, select Beneficiaries.
  2. Locate the beneficiary you want to update from the list.
  3. Click the options menu (⋮) next to the beneficiary's name.
  4. Select Edit beneficiary.
  5. Update the necessary details, such as:
    • Beneficiary name
    • Wallet address
    • Bank details
    • Network
  6. Review the updated information.
  7. Click Save to apply the changes.

Your beneficiary details will be updated immediately and available for future transactions.

How to filter customers on your beneficiary's list

Filtering helps you quickly find specific beneficiaries, especially when you have a long list.

  1. From the navigation menu, click Beneficiaries.
  2. At the top of the beneficiaries list, select "All types". Use the filter options to narrow down the list by:
    • Beneficiary name
    • Recipient type (e.g. BTC wallet, USDT wallet, USDC wallet)
    • Network (where applicable)
  3. Also select using the "Date added" or select a custom time period.
  4. Select "Apply" and the list updates automatically to show matching beneficiaries.

Filtering is especially useful when sending funds, as it helps you quickly select the correct beneficiary and avoid errors.

How to delete a beneficiary's account

Deleting a beneficiary permanently removes them from your list, helping you keep your account organized.

  1. From the navigation menu, click Beneficiaries.
  2. Locate the beneficiary you want to remove.
  3. Click the options menu (⋮) next to their name.
  4. On the Recipient Details page, select Remove Beneficiary and then Delete Account.
  5. Confirm by selecting Yes.

Once deleted, the beneficiary cannot be recovered. Make sure you've selected the correct account before confirming.
